We also get some funny outsider impressions here in my neck of the woods, such as:

1) "What time of year do the caribou turn into moose?"

2) Regarding the Talkeetna Moose Dropping Festival: "How high do they drop the moose from?"

3) Washington congressional staffers who refer to the Porcupine River caribou heard as "the porcupine herd".
