As a Yale study shows, there's not enough metal in the world for everyone to catch up to the West's per capita consumption of metals: sciam.com The point is, demand for zinc and some other metals doesn't even need to grow very much -- even at current demand levels, there won't be enough supply because of the dearth of new projects while reserves get depleted and old mines close. The growing demand intensifies and accelerates the crisis situation.
