First-time posting in this thread... I'm playing INTC options.

I took that news release as quite positive, especially when combined with the one that came out shortly after that, indicating that Dell expects to see strong growth in the European market.

Might it be that the Dell announcements, if they come to fruition, will have a positive impact on Intel's chip sales, especially in Europe, that Intel hadn't anticipated when they warned about earnings?

BTW, count me as one who thinks DEC might've screwed up pretty badly going after Intel this way. The DEC suit is what got me interested in INTC on the Put side, but digging deeper has led me to the opinion that this was a terribly ill-conceived move on DEC's part, and it's why I own more Calls than Puts on INTC.
