[NEC]

Jim --

The NEC website shows 6Mbps for DMT, but I'm not sure this is what your'e referring to when you talk about New Zealand.

<<NEC is contracted to supply a 300 customer pilot system for Telstra, which initially provides broadcast Pay TV Services, Pay Per View (PPV) and Video-On-Demand Services. Some of the objectives of this pilot are to determine customers' perception of quality of video services over ADSL, and to assess network integration, planning and operational issues.

It should be emphasised that the Pilot is not merely a trial of ADSL technologies (involving both 2Mb/s CAP and 6Mb/s DMT), but it is an implementation of an end-to-end networked solution, providing both point-to-multipoint broadcast services (e.g. Pay TV and PPV), and point-to-point interactive broadband services (e.g. VOD). >>>
