Semtech Corp (SMTC) 36.21 +0.44: Reports Q1 earnings of $0.18 a share, in line with the First Call consensus of $0.18, vs year-ago
earnings of $0.16; revenues rose 5.4% to $60.53 mln from a year-ago of $57.41 mln. Company anticipates reducing headcount in Q2 by
an additional 12 to 13%. Company sees Q2 revenues in the range of $38.0 to $40.0 mln (vs estimate of $55 mln) and EPS of
approximately $0.06 to $0.07; the current consensus mean is $0.15.

Computer Assoc (CA) 32.56 +1.54: Reports Q4 earnings of $0.47 a share, $0.01 better than the First Call consensus of $0.46, vs
year-ago earnings of $0.34; revenues rose 3.7% to $1.44 bln from a year-ago of $1.39 bln. Company declared a regular semi-annual cash

earnings of $0.26; revenues rose 5.9% to $1.52 bln from a year-ago of $1.43 bln.

VA Linux Systems (LNUX) 4.70 +0.34: Reports Q3 loss of $0.38 a share, $0.02 better than the First Call consensus of ($0.40);

Novell (NOVL) 5.01 +0.10: -- Update -- Company plans a workforce reduction of approximately 5% from within its worldwide
workforce of 5,200.

Intuit (INTU) 31.25 -0.37 (-1.2%): Reports Q3 pro forma earnings of $0.55 a share, 2 cents better than consensus, vs yr-ago EPS of
$0.36; expects FY01 revenue of around $1.26 bln, the bottom end of the revenue range the company provided in March; targeting 2002
operating income growth of 25%-30%; company's authorizes a 3-yr, $500 mln stock repurchase program.

Kohl's Corp (KSS) 67.30 +0.31: Reports Q1 earnings of $0.22 a share, $0.01 better than the First Call consensus of $0.21, vs
year-ago earnings of $0.16; revenues rose 21.1% to $1.49 bln from a year-ago of $1.23 bln. For the quarter, comparable store sales
increased 5.3% on top of a 6.9% comparable store increase a year ago.

Novell (NOVL) 4.96 +0.05: Reports Q2 loss of $0.03 a share, $0.06 worse than the First Call consensus of $0.03, vs year-ago earnings
of $0.09; revenues fell 20.4% to $240.76 mln from a year-ago of $302.35 mln.

Gadzooks (GADZ) 15.41 -0.36: Reports Q1 net of $0.25 per share, in line with consensus, vs $0.27 in the year-ago period. Net sales
for the quarter increased 12.4% to $70.8 million compared to $63.0 million a year ago.
