Well there is something to be said for that.

A friend described it this way to me. When you have money saved and you want to spend it, you can spend it a hundred times in your head and then when you finally decide to spend it you have the joy of acquiring something you really want. When you buy something with borrowed money, you get money later and then sit down to pay bills. No one likes paying bills and usually you are paying those bills long after the joy of having acquired the object is gone.
