In theory yes. But my pet peeve with todays healthcare industry is you can't go without insurance even if you could afford to pay on your own.

For example, orthodonic work for one of my kids, cost without insurance would be $2400. But with insurance plan the rate the orthodontist agreed to accept from insurance was $800. Why the original @2400 fee if they accept $800. If people without insurance could pay insurance rates then the system would be fair.
