I take issue with your implication that more emotion is required to be critical. Although, I think I understand your true meaning and I would hope they can remain critical of the mistakes they made.


Its looking more and more like the police made a big error in judgment. It seems that whenever that's the case, the documents that report on such an error take months to be produced. Usually, long after the anger has dissipated for most people. Of course, it doesn't always work esp. when the offending parties are exonerated unfairly.......Rodney King comes to mind.

What's really too bad in this whole mess is the number of people who want us to go softly on the police.........as if some supernatural force made them kill. If the UK and the US are to have a policy of shoot to kill, they better have professionals in charge who know what they are doing and who have enough experience to know when to pull the trigger and when not to. Apparently, the law enforcement officers who murdered the Brazilian did not have that experience.
