The cost of health care attributed to pollution must certainly be in the billions, the cost of tobacco addiction, or alcohol would be right up there as well. That does not mean Ottawa, or Victoria will go out their way to solve long term problems if they have to give up revenue in the short term. I think the public has the right to full disclosure of so-called investments in technology, for example a certain fuel cell company with billions based on the perceived perception that is a low risk by individual investors because of interference in the marketplace by these 2 governments. If they were serious why do they not publicly support Global Thermoelectric, ironically the Americans will be nice and warm with their retrofitted made in Alberta heaters this winter while my country's soldiers get frostbite because Ottawa and Victoria are afraid to admit they are throwing cash in to a money pit.It is time for Canadians to be told the truth.
