What is Investor Relations doing by responding to
the request about earnings with the statement "Cabletron has come
in above estimates in 34 out of 35 of the last quarters". This is clearly suggesting that this quarter would be 95% likely to be a positive surprise. They should
just say - "We do not comment on earnings expectations in the quiet period without an announcement to all shareholders". They are simply burying any credibility with small shareholders.
