I agree with you for the most part that it might not hurt Dell in the long run. After all what DELL CPQ HWP and IBM are selling is more service than product. They provide on site service and keep the big businesses running.

Their PCs though will be less expensive to build b/c of asia but they will be forced to drop their prices as they have in the past and those that will benefit will be the end users. IMO margins will not go up but rather stay the same or go down as in the past. The $500 PC is only around the corner. 25- 27% margins on them ?? ...I don't think so.
