WWDC Review From Down Under

via The Age

>The software they write under Rhapsody will run not only on all
those machines, but also on Intel, UNIX, and probably also higher
systems like Sun's Solaris. Suddenly a scene which seemed to be
shrinking has miraculously expanded to encompass all of desktop
computing.<

>Using Rhapsody components, a demonstrator at the conference built
a simple, fully-functional word processor on an Intel machine in
about two minutes. He then immediately ran it on a Macintosh. The
Mac version looked and behaved like a Macintosh desktop; the Intel
version like a Windows desktop. A similar demonstration was
performed running a short Quicktime movie. The speed of assembly,
and cleanliness of the move across to the other platform were, to
put it mildly, remarkable.<
