Just curious... is anyone on this thread watching the new TV series "Over There" on FX about our soldiers in Iraq? I assume Taro isn't watching because it isn't clever and amusing, and Elroy isn't watching because it isn't at all funny (like Ted's posts). But I wonder if anyone else is watching to get a feel for something close to the reality of the war. So far it's pretty damn good. Depressing as hell, but probably pretty close to reality. I know the "cute" reality shows are doing well, but somehow I think this real reality show may flop. America, and Taro and Elroy, will not be amused or entertained. And that's certainly what life is about in America in 2005; it's all about being entertained. What good is sitting alone In your room ?
