another company...name slips me right now...has a new product that uses either radio or telephone signals for meter reading.
This market of meter reading with radio or telephone is nothing new. They started tests of radio over 20 years ago. We started using telephone lines on recorders with metering 20 years ago. The most interesting one I remember was one that put a carrier signal on commercial am radio to talk to the meters. I really don't think this is a big new deal at all. I've got a radio read meter on my home here in Montana right now.
