Yes, there are no "happy endings." We get in these fixes out of a negative reaction to people who differ from us and a belief that we can "fix" anything. This may turn out to be a horrible situation that need Government interference no matter what. But the history of Government/Polygamy clashes is one of no problems solved and things just made worse. They usually start when a DA goes after a charismatic leader and jails him. I understand this one started in similar circumstances.
