And for the record, I should state that I have heard Bob shout down callers, belittle them (even after the call - which I find particularly offensive) and cut off people early. But I didn't detect this or any rudeness on "Mary's call." If anything, Bob was very patient and probably exceeded the time normally spent on a call in trying to draw out as many facts as he could. Did Bob answer her specific question? No. However, in this case he should not have answered her specific question for reasons I outlined previously. Did he give her valuable advice? Yes. If Mary and her husband heed the advice he gave her, they are certain to benefit.
