What I find interesting about our little exchange is that suburban Republicans never have any misgivings about putting down those who earn less and who live in the city proper, as opposed to the suburban halo that surrounds the urban core.

Number one flapjack, who ARE you talking about? I would love to know who these republicans are that "put down those who earn less and who live in the city proper"? You reference our "little exchange" intimating that it is I to whom you refer. Please clarify this question. Is it I to whom you refer as far as "putting down" urban dwellers? If not, who?

Number two flapjack, I am not a registered anything let alone republican. How about you flapjack? Registered anything?

I firmly believe that children are better off experiencing all of the diversity life has to offer. That is why I went out of my way to offer choices and experiences of diverse nature to my own children. I chose to raise them in the environment that I was raised in because it is familiar to me, and I thought it best for them. Other parents might disagree, and that is fine, it was my choice to make for my family. They too went to public school, and there was diversity in those schools.

If I had the where with all I would have taken them travelling much more than I did just so that they could have seen how others live. I raised my children to be tolerant and to accept others. My oldest was tagged to help run the special ed program in all three years of high school because of his innate understanding, compassion and intuition about special needs children. He and his brother don't have a mean bone in their bodies unlike some kids that are raised to hate.

I can't help them unfortunately.

Once again, I think you need to take a look at your propensity to stereotype. You might come to realize that you can't successfully put people into boxes based on hearsay.
