Does any rational person really believe that Mrs. Clinton will give up the work of her lifetime at the behest of these two low-rent "grandees"?

She will still be in it until after the last dog dies.

And why should she quit? Especially when the primaries aren't even finished, and she's leading the polls in the next one? And especially now, when Barack Obama just gave her the gift of his 'clinging to God, guns, and bigotry' gaffe?

Barack Obama cannot get enough pledged delegates in the primaries to clinch the nomination. We know that. The superdelegates will decide the race.

So why on earth should she quit? Even though the chances that Barack Obama is going to self-destruct seem small (but not so small as they did two days ago), they are certainly greater than zero. If she wants to benefit, she has to stay in the race.

The Democrats are making themselves look like buffoons with these antics. Nobody imposed this primary system on them; it was their own free choice.

John McCain is one lucky man.
