Some are asphalt shingle's, some are wood, some are concrete, some are metal, some are clay - each roof would require it's own flashing etc. BUT there is way more than this; what is under the roof? To fasten to and to be sure the load can be handled. There are wires and antennas and venting and chimneys and skylights of unlimited imagination that all must be considered and worked around. HEY! I've got a company right here in my neighborhood working on robots to install solar panels - want to invest? How about my other job suggestion to build an across the country fast rail system - going to do that with robots too? And once again you have decided what I am picturing. I see robots working inside your body and operating on your heart. So you see bentway, it's not a lack of imagination - it is common sense. AND robots will NOT be replacing humans to install solar panels.
