TJS:

It depends on what kind of baggage comes with either position. This is not a flip answer.

If AIRSTAR is going to continuously be in turmoil it won't matter which scenario comes about, it's going to fail. A battle for control of a company is nothing new. It goes on every day. But usually the fight is conducted in something approaching privacy. Here it is splattered all over this thread and it's messy.

But all the above would not be a problem if I was reasonably confident that whoever wins knew what the hell they were doing. Here a winner might be declared by default and the company would still be in turmoil.

I have not forgotten for one moment that the two antagonists may be Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. Both Management and JL are to blame for the state this company is in.

Our Management's track record of sitting on their asses and letting JL run the show, knowing full well his incompetence, pisses me off. But I am also willing to give the present Management a brief honeymoon to show us all what they can do. Very brief I might add. They need to show us all that they are competent.

There is nothing wrong having SSI or 15 Million Dollars; sounds great to me, if we have a Management that knows what the hell it's doing. I want this company to be quiet, boring, routine SUCCESS not a circus.
