The latest WaveRider sales updates:

May 1, 2002
E-mail from Merton Auger, City Administrator for the City of Buffalo,
Minnesota
Hi Chuck, cannot begin to tell you how successful Dynamic Polling MAC has
been! As one person put it, this product now qualifies as a KAT. I believe I
shared that acronym with you before. Our Help Desk calls have fallen to nothing.
The claims of stability and greater range are very true. This was a very very
significant improvement. I have had numerous comments from our citizen users
that the service is awesome now (it was great before, now it is significantly
better). Our WaveRider user group seems to be equally impressed. I have to
congratulate the entire WaveRider staff. I must say that Mario and Tyson have
done an outstanding job here. They are great to work with. I will actually be sad
to see them go. But hopefully we will keep in touch.

There is only one thing I would comment on. We feel that the customer set points
are too restrictive. In our competition, we must have greater flexibility in setting
service ranges.

I must send an “OUTSTANDING JOB” note to all of you. You don’t know
how happy we are about how this has turned out.

Congratulations to Rhett on an order for 50 EUMs from Purelyonline.

This customer is a start up who is deployed now in Plano Texas and are
expanding around that area (other small Dallas suburbs). They currently have
about 70 users on line now on CAP # 1.

Plans to install another CAP in May and 5 more CAPS by September.

From Mario Orbegozo, who is managing the expansion of the City of
Buffalo network:
I wanted to send an update on the PMAC upgrade of COB executed today:
The change was worked in advance during the day by loading files into the
EUMS/CCUs. A total of 8 sectors with 135 EUMs were activated between
1AM and 3AM with only 8 units Not upgraded, from which 6 where clearly
modems not reachable ( Off condition).

The ABWM was reconfigured and it is IN with settings wide open as planned.
Four CCUs were replaced in the field by Temp Fixed units. The full system is in
BE. Two PC tests indicate that the system in working properly at this time with
good response and clear shaping of the CCUS GOS.

Later in the day we will do more testing across the city to verify full operational
conditions.
