OT:

A very significant aviation event is currently underway.... the first attempt to fly around the world, non-stop, non-refueled, single pilot. The aircraft, Global Flyer is yet another stunning success for Burt Rutan, designer and builder of the first around-the-world, non-stop, non-refueled aircraft (Voyageur) and more recently, the designer and builder of the first civilian space craft. Burt's exploits make all of us who are fellow members of the Experimental Aircaft Association proud.

Having taken off from Kansas yesterday evening, the Global flier is now over North Africa. The flight will take approximately 80 hours.
