I think this also has something to do with what tc posted further along, NTFS vs FAT32. I think I chose NTFS which means my win 95 machine can't read the files on my new machine, but the new machine can read the older files. I tried the suggested right click to see if the type I had chosen would show up on the properties general tab, but it didn't. I noticed the link given was for W2K, is XP different in this respect?
