re: Lucent Freeware Connectivity Monitoring Tool "MyVitalAgent" from Lucent's VitalSoft division monitors broadband connections, including DSL and cable modems, as well as LAN and dial-up (may not work with all dial modems). This tool replaced NetMedic some time ago. It loads at startup and sits in the systems tray and isolates and diagnoses the source of problems. FAQ at link below. Lucent has recently posted v. 8.0.1 It is a handy tool. I was running v. 7 and which did not work after upgrading from WIN 98 SE to XP. This version does: myvitalagent.com Deceptively simple but best to read "Help" to use it effectively. - Eric -
