Are there any such creatures on the soil of the US? Do we know it, or are we being our typical selves...."if they haven't done anything yet, then should we go in to try to stop them?"

The problem with deterrence - the biggest one, I think - is that there are plenty of extremists who would not be stopped by the possibility of a retaliatory attack against their nations.
