Doug E. Fresh — [Rich]

By Rich on Conservative Politics

A Republican legislator in Colorado, Doug Bruce, was ordered to leave the podium of the state House of Representatives today, after comments he made while debating a possible measure aimed at helping immigrants get temporary federal visas.

I would like to have the opportunity to state at the microphone why I don't think we need 5,000 more illiterate peasants in Colorado.

Rep. Kathleen Curry, a Democrat serving as chairwoman of the debate, admonished Bruce, saying: "How dare you?" and disallowed him from speaking further. The remarks could result in a formal ethics complaint that would require a hearing and possible suspension, censure or expulsion.
