From Gottfried:
<There is always the possibility of a person with bi-polar illness being present...>

From Iceberg:
<You've just opened a "can-of-worms" in the murky world of medical/medical diagnositc/medical-legal/ethical/moral issues...>

The present protocol then, for the "standard" Type II is sufficient. This new *possibility* would constitute a subdivision of the category:

Type IIa -- Protocol: to be determined

Ugh, I certainly don't feel comfortable about the labelling process.
I make enough mistakes with my real life =)

Forgive my bad memory here, but from reviewing the profiles of IOM thread participants, I thought I saw a psychiatrist/psychologist somewhere. We could use some input from that person now. I don't mind digging through the profiles again but if somebody just happens to know, then please speak up.
