There is another concern: Japan. They have been given a nominal reprieve, but I claim it's too late. They are throwing good money at bad debt. This action doesn't address the true problem which has very little to do with Japanese banks. When the confidence runs out again, the good money will fly to safety in our T-market, pulling out the basis supporting the empire. The collapse of Japan will send the stock market into a bear lasting until the fall of 2000. I sure hope this a wrong view. If you have a continued reaonable valuation of the yen and our economy not as assured as it was to our populous add to this more severe legal rulings on funds which could imho subsequently cause china to look like heaven . We are not use to less here but more. So you have one end feeling a pinch which causes the other end to yell foul.
