Someone on yahoo trying already to put a positive spin on all this mess:

*****
Currently Amazon buys 55% of their books from Ingram, but AMZN
is moving away from Ingram and towards direct purchasing.
Insiders forecast that before the next 12 months are up, only
20% of their books will come from Ingram.
Bottom line: this is not a big deal for amazon. AMZN anticipated
this and has positioned themselves well to handle it swiftly.

"direct purchasing" ?? From who? The authors themselves who are printing the books in their basement? Ingram is THE source for direct purchasing.

It'll be interesting to see the spin mary meeker will put on this..
