I was going to write this on that OTHER thread but didn't want to risk inciting Mr. B. I try very hard not to deride anyone. I had written out quite a nice post to you explaining that as your idea affects no one but yourselves, and some extra work for SI staff, then if SI is willing there is no harm to me. I enjoy all the mail I have received from SI participants, but then I'm not you, and I don't post on your threads. I appreciate your disavowal of Mr. B's posts. While others were also out of hand (i.e. "Your a fool, Mr. B") I believe it was Mr. B. who began attacking the masculinity of his detractors, and it was he who was least able to discuss ANYTHING rationally with anyone. Olive branches were extended from time to time but Mr. B. bit them off.
Best of luck to you, and may you screen happily away. If I ever run into that kind of argument on a thread again I myself might take advantage of a screening tool. No reason to raise ones blood pressure unnecessarily. If I insulted you, which I do not think I did, I am truly sorry. Insults, after all, only reflect on the weaknesses of the person making them, but its hard to step back and reflect on that in the middle of an exchange.
