RGrey et al,
As mentioned before, I'll be back (most likely) but only after the smoke has cleared. My SAP holdings went from a $30k gain to a $10k loss. See uncertainty now that didn't exist before. SAP lost their North American Manager, Y2K buildout is tapering off, worldwide recession, etc. My goal for selling my SAP and LU was to build some cash to take advantage of any further dips. Holdings I still have that I like and their reasons are:
-AOL****have you seen AOL v4.0 yet? sweet -ASND***likely buyout by LU or other -BMCS***awesome employee incentive plan -CSCO***the leader in internet buildout -CTXS***why have software on each PC if you don't have to -CYMI***80% share of DUV laser market. good stock, but when will rise? -DELL***top management, only 7% market share, expanding their field. -SEEK***wait until Disney becomes a key portal as they build out SEEK -INKT***good technology and search engine -MSFT***never bet against Bill -MSTR***truly useful data management and querying system -RMBS***their technology will be in all PCs eventually -YHOO***best worldwide penetration of any website
As you see, their are many other companies that have potential for great rewards. When I ranked them, SAP just came out at the bottom of the list. I will still be watching the stock, and if it dips down to 30's would likely to be a buyer again.
Happy investing.
