I know I said I had "a" question, but on another but related topic (for me anyway), does anyone know how to get into a BIOS on an old 486-66 which I stupidly put a password on and now can't remember?

You can usually change the jumper settings that will disable the password setting (assuming this is a desktop, not a laptop). Look in your motherboard manual for the settings.
