No position in amtd yet. But I believe many will flee to Datek (I am soon). For long term investing they are fine, esp. w/ 800 number. For short term it sucks. I have IRA acc. and acidentally shorted stocks 3 times (due to their software/system). When the short makes money they quietly cover and pocket the change. When a loss they call me up and force me to cover in the day. The system is not only slow and error prone, they are also dishonest just like NDB. Datek does not have 800 and that is bad but system is fast and accurate so far.
