This sounds like a good suggestion and it was sort of what I was planning to do until the router I bought came with an extra NIC.

I guess my big concern is that I might screw up my new system, but I think I probably shouldn't worry too much about that, because I'm pretty good on installing the hardware side, but the software side kills me when I goof it up (my BIOS problem is a great example). With XP I should be able to go back to the last good configuration and have it work.
