3com or ascend which to purchase? why 3com 3com offers a more concetrated offering of products that integrate the pc into the enterprise. this would be a logical choice for cpq to want coms because cpq is very familiar already with these products and would be easier to assimilate into the current cpq offerings. with coms other offerings cpq could then grow into other internet markets. when you look at how well 3coms and cpq product lines intertwine, but not overlap, this would be the ideal fit.
