There is no "right" as far as the universe is concered. The universe could care less whether we live in a happy utopia or live under the jackboot of a madman tyrant who rapes infants and eats the flesh of anyone who opposes him. The universe does not make moral judgements. However, the western idea regarding freedom of the individual is as close as you can come, in my book, to being "right" in a human sense. Luckily the western world has the power and the "might" to enforce that idea. If any despot or dictator wants to try and claim that he has the right to enslave me and take away my freedom to be an individual, then I will gladly kill him on the spot. There is no debate- that is simply what I will do. Give me liberty or give me death.. i think someone famous once uttered those same words. ;) I'd rather live one day as a free man than a thousand years as a slave.
