earilie, it would be 5% time the 9% market share in the regiaon to figure total effect for cpq( that's .0045).

as to asain, cpq retooled and is selling the 1k and below pc and having great success in fareast now.
Don't remember saying that korean spending would decline marginally.
i said that korea for certain technology will decline alittle.
they have to use technology to get out of problem after IMF funding.
I dont put much in idc and dataquest forecast....
I only put stock in their recording history.
This is the only issue since I've said for 12 months most pc compnaies are toast, here's a post when gtw was heading to 90 prespilt and the others were in good shape too.
it sums up that cpq and dell will destroy the others for a while
so, in a since we are saying the same thing.
I just have picked dell and cpq has winners long before you did.
the date on this is a summary of posts made over the last 18 months.
exchange2000.com

During the real scare last yr. I indicated that the safest play is onlt put cpq and dell if they issue warning.
and if you were agressive and wanted to time then you could do that and started doing it for a month then quit when i realized tat cpq and dell would go up 400-500%.
