I helped a neighbor set up a 2-PC LAN using the Linksys router. That all went well as far as providing internet access to AT&T Broadband Internet via the Linksys. Both PC's can view the internet.

I'm having a problem, however, getting both computers to see EACH OTHER. They both have the same workgroup name. One is using Win98 and the other is using Win2000. File and Printer sharing is enabled in the Network control panel applet. When I doubleclick Network Neighborhood, I get an error message rather than the usual tree display.

It occurred to me that I may have neglected to define the C-drives as shared. Would the lack of any shared resources altogether cause Network Neighborhood to produce an error message or would it simply have nothing to show as shared?
