<< The "dreaded short squeeze" is all too often a myth >> Maybe not squeezes, but short covering is certainly an important part of Ascend price swings - you don't suppose it can rise 5+ points because people actually are crazy to own the stock, do you? All of the networker stocks have a large short interest and the quick price run-ups are primarily these shares being taken out of the way of good news. Conversely, a whif of bad news generates a "sell" momentum. Most of the trading is dice rollers except market-wide drops is usually Fidelity Magellan making adjustments. Greg
