OK - so even if you're right, is it a crime to be successful? Is it a crime that Jews largely came here to avoid persecution. The first generation was not hired in the white collar world. In fact, one of the areas you mention was, until this generation devoid of Jewish employees. That is banking. It was rare to find an American bank with Jewish officers. Banks were always known for having tons of vice presidents for this or that, but those positions were rarely given to Jews.
That's why you have so many 2d and 3d generation entrepeneurs, MD, attorneys and accountants. Along the way, I'm sure there have been a fair share of bankruptcies and setbacks.
My own family history is filled with struggles in the fields of junk parts, grease recycling, rags, stable hands. The next generation used their parents' savings to buy those businesses or to go to medical school.
The nature of the endeavors enabled huge success, but only with hard work. I guarantee you that the percentage of Jews on welfare, medicaid, in prison, etc., is extremely low.
So- are you threatened or merely jealous. |
