Infrared reinforces the notion that the cameras will have built-in flash memory, and might not even have removable flash.

This certainly will continue to be the case at the low-end. It's cheaper to have the memory built-in than it is to have a slot.

Higher-end cameras will have various options for removable or larger storage. (I'd expect to see some small hard disks, as well, as in one current MPEG video camera.)

There could be a niche for nHand - just cautioning against building a fantasy where every camera has an nHand drive.
