That was a lovely story, Craig. Thanks for telling it to me. I read a tiny article in the paper the other day about two Buddhist monks who were kicked out of the monastery for violent behavior, so obviously studying Buddhism is not enough, although looking inward may be helpful.

I did think Jim Barrett's question about Buddhism and war was interesting, and wonder if you know what the predominant religion was in Japan at the time of World War II, and how religion impacted on the warriors, and the underlying desire to fight and obtain more land for the Japanese.
