Hello again, Dave... The bigger problem would be background noise in the transmission. If he's coming in from South Africa, then noise could almost be expected. I'm presuming that his transmissions are not coming into the USA 100% over copper; that somewhere along the route there's a satellite or wireless transmission involved. What would be interesting to know is whether or not he could correctly access the site using a dial-up (where there's a higher likelihood of close to 100% copper/fiber being used for the transmission). If that's true, then I think he may be looking at some sort of signal interference (noise) somewhere between his home, his ISP and Boogerville... KJC
