I'd say he is biassed as well as partisan

Being partisan is like rooting for the home team. There is nothing terribly wrong about that as long as it is not overly done.

Being biased is being dishonest. Being dishonest is being stupid.

Being biased is like looking in the mirror and pretending to see someone else. Not too much good can come from that.

Reading the NY Times is like reading a report on the New York Yankees written by someone you know is a Yankee fan. They can tell you what a great person Derek Jeter is and what a terrible person David Ortiz is, but they still have to give you the score. The runs, hits and errors. They can't have any biases there. But when you watch Fox News, you can never be sure. They may not give you the score when it is not in their favor. Now that is bias.
