(NEWSER) – Donald Sterling's alleged racist remarks didn't go unnoticed today in the Los Angeles Clippers locker room. Players voiced their outrage against the team's owner during a 45-minute meeting, then practiced with shooting shirts worn inside-out to hide the team's name and logo, ESPN reports. Playing game four in a series against the Golden State Warriors (and losing, 118-97), they wore black socks and black wrist or arm bands. Sterling didn't attend the Oakland game, and coach Doc Rivers said he "didn't know" what Sterling would have to say to make him return next year: "I'm just going to leave it at that." In another twist, Deadspin has posted an extended 15-minute version of the alleged conversation between Sterling and his girlfriend, V. Stiviano. Among the new excerpts:

"Do you know that you have a whole team that's black, that plays for you?" asks Stiviano. Sterling says: "You just, do I know? I support them and give them food, and clothes, and cars, and houses. Who gives it to them? Does someone else give it to them?""It's the world!" says Sterling. "You go to Israel, the blacks are just treated like dogs." Asked by Stiviano whether "black Jews [are] less than the white Jews," he says, "A hundred percent, fifty, a hundred percent," but adds that "we don't evaluate what's right and wrong. ... We live in a culture. We have to live within that culture."When Stiviano compares Sterling's attitude to the persecution of Jews before the Holocaust, he responds: "You're a mental case, you're really a mental case."Click to see what President Obama and others said about the initial recording.
