Hi Doug, Thanks for the follow-up. Another xDSL site that I have bookmarked is dslreports.com Now lets get serious for a second here. Who do these TeleChoice people think they are kidding. They claim that xDSL "Grows 5 Times Faster Than Cable in 6-Month Period" Hello??!! What's this, the new math? From the biz wire release itself we find that deployment is something like this: Type of Service:...At 12/31/98..Times 100+Growth Rate%...At 06/30/99 xDSL..............~39,787 units......x 400%............159,150 units Cable Modems.....~500,000 units......x 160%............800,000 units The part I really love is that the actual unit growth in 1H '99 is xDSL=~119,363units and Cable Modems=~300,000 units. So according to Telechoice, 119K is 5 TIMES 330K. Ahem. You be the judge. Best, Ray
