That's a multitudinous question:
Presently, say Web-TV, you need a phone link.
Presently, say Direct TV, you need a phone link to dial up for pay for movies.
Presently, say Direct PC, you need a phone link for movies but no phone for an ISP.
Presently, like @home, via cable no phone since the interactive keyboard takes care of the 2 way transmission.
Phone as you know, presently, is very slow.
Give this technology six to 12 months and bandwith will really improve. The phone persons desperately want to speed it up. Soon competition will be fierce, prices will drop, and speed will accelerate.
