Not entirely true. Air conditioners work wonders. Note I said toxic mold. Getting rid of that is a very involved process. You can't even get insurance here any more that covers mold remediation. If those houses sold for $750k, it might make sense to do what you say. I can pretty much guarantee that the affected houses wouldn't have sold for $750k. The median cost of a house in New Orleans was $75,800.
