To short properly you need to be shorting into volume as the stock is rising. You need
to have enough captital available to short the stock a number of times in case it
continues to rise against you while maintaing your margin requirements. You are not
going to get news in such a timely manner as to be able to short the stock at the top
before it starts to fall. You have to have already determined that the stock may be
overvalued as the stock is rising and begin to execute your sells into the rising volume.
It is not for the faint of heart nor for the light in pocketbook. If you are going to short
successfully you must plan for it with the appropriate cash reserves.
