Hello all, I am a new person in this thread, and I am need help.
I am very bullist with WMT because:
- WMT was added to DJ index.
- Increase in the Ferderal minimum wage in last October would lift the spending of low-wage shoppers. (Biggest income increase that would be spent.)
- The best retail stock will be those of stores that serve the poorest customers.
- WMT has been purchased up to $2 bil of its common stock over next 18 months (start on March 97.)
- WMT increased dividents by 29% in fiscal 1988 to $0.27 per share.
- Today she closed at 52WK high.
But a friend of mine, he SHORT WMT because:
- Goldman Sachs and Smith Barney unloaded their holding.
- Purchase of company stock and the payment of dividends decreased total share holders' equity from 01/97.
- PE is 24.
- Competitions from Dollar General, Consolidated Stores, MacFrugals Bargains ...
- International plans...etc...
- TA down trend next month.

Please help me to buy some WMT with your advices, otherwise I will do as his advice.
Thank you very much and allow me to invite him to join this thread.
Quang Nguyen.
